What's the difference between Opiflex® and the Virobloc®?

Opiflex® is a blade-holding system while Virobloc® is a locking system. Opiflex® allows the blade to be kept in open or closed position thanks to a new innovative ferrule with an indexing notch via a tab acting as a spring. The Virobloc® is a rotating ferrule which rotates round an inner fixed ring to close the slot, thus locking the blade in open or closed position. The Virobloc® is patented, Opiflex® patent is pending.

The Opiflex® system holds the blade in place without handling, making it very intuitive and straightforward to use.

Elegant Design

Néo6 features a classic Opinel handle made from noble woods: Ebony, black Walnut, and Olive wood with food-safe coating varnish to ensure optimal protection.

The handle is finished with a natural leather lanyard to hang it up easily and circled with a stainless steel rivet to create a truly elegant pocket knife.

The new Opiflex® ring is chiseled to give it an industrial look and make it a modern but classy every day carry.

Sustainable and Durable

Made in our factory in the heart of the French Alps, we use locally sourced French Walnut, sustainably managed Italian Olive wood and Ebony from partners in Africa that are RBUE certified.

The 2.75in stainless steel blade is low maintenance, corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen for high-quality, long-lasting cutting.

The leather lanyard is made from robust recyclable materials to create a pocket knife as sustainable as practical.
