Our carbon steel is extremely hard, thereby guaranteeing excellent cutting quality, good wear resistance and easy regrinding. Carbon can corrode easily. We advise you to avoid damp locations and to wipe and grease the blade after use.

Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small, -dark dashes.

High Carbon simplicity

Your rating: 5

I had this same knife in stainless, and it is a good knife, but the high carbon is better. When i sharpen it it takes a finer edge than the stainless version. Additionally, over time it has been slowly taking a nice patina. Both the carbon and stainless version of this knife are great. The simple shape, and flat grind make it a good multi tasker that handles small and large jobs alike.
