This is a super handy knife when working with fruits and veggies. The thin blade makes for a very slicey knife and the steel does its job by staying sharp. The petit size allows for a lot of control. This knife punches way above is weight in terms of price.
Love these peelers - very sharp. Have given many as gifts too - If you haven't replaced your peeler in years do yourself a favor and pick one of these up!
My wife is Polish decent and loves her rutabaga. Rutabagas **** knives and peelers every year. This tough Inox steel peeler is up for the challenge.
I got this for my field cooking kit, which includes a couple of Opinel knives. I like their light weight and good steel. The peeler is a handy addition. It peels just fine, with a little practice. I also use it to shave thin slices of vegetables for quick frying or quick boiling. It works great.
I'm not sure why anyone prefers a stationary peeler over one with a blade that swivels; it's the swivel that allows the peeler to follow the contours of the item being peeled.
