New for 2012, Opinel is going high-tech with space age materials. This heavy duty survival knife features a 2.5 mm thick 12C27 sandvik blade, a thick serrated area, an integrated 4 seasons 110 db survival whistle and a shackle key. Opinel No8 is the most versatile size in the ever growing line of folding knives. This knife is small enough to be used as a pocket knife and it's 3 1/4' blade prevent it to be considered a weapon in most states (check with your state).

Safety Features: Double safety ring "VIROBLOC", created by Marcel Opinel
in 1955, locks the blade either in open or closed position.
The No8 outdoor knife can be laser engraved on the handle's back side. See Maxim's knife below for example.
We use a modified Arial font to match the Opinel logo font located on the other side of the handle. A maximum of 3 words can be engraved.
