Opinel No.06 pocket knife with padouk handle and polished stainless steel blade. The perfect gift for someone who loves the Opinel classic look with a little more flare. Padouk wood is great around water and will not swell as much as other woods. We recommend this knife to anyone who lives in very humid environments.

It seems like a great knife. It's light and comes with a decent edge. Just be aware that it is rather small in the hand. Overall, I think it's a nifty little knife!
This fantastic little knife has captured my heart, yet I can't help but long for the fork and spoon attachments designed for the larger no.08 model to be available in this smaller size.
This knife has quickly become my favorite due to its timeless appeal and exceptional quality. Its classic design exudes a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of the finest knives available. However, I can't help but yearn for additional accessories, like the fork and spoon attachments crafted for the no.08 model, to complement its versatility.
the no.6 seems out of place. the no.7 is a good size, no.8 is the perfect size, and the tiny models are good keychains. but the no. 6 doesn't have a key ring, or a leather lanyard, at least not this version of it. this one is mildly boring. even still, opinel quality is opinel quality
Backpacking friend has had one for past 30 years and I loved using it when we were on trips. I carried a small Swiss Army knife all the time. Never used it. Too small. Bought the #6. Same weight as Swiss. Much more functional. I use it backpacking and everyday carry. Supper sharp, easy to maintain edge with stropping. I personalized the handle by burning a feather in it. Wish I had bought one 30 years ago !! Oh, did I mention how fast and inexpensive the shipping was ?
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, Rick! What a lovely job you did on the handle. The No.06 is such a great backpacking and EDC tool indeed! Great to hear you enjoy it. Wishing you many adventures! Opinel USA
