Opinel Ebauche / Raw - Cherry wood Handle
Ebauches" as they are called in France are finally available in the U.S. This knife's handle is intended to be carved in to whatever you can dream of (if you have the abilities of course). See what people have done with the ebauches here.
This knife can also be left "as is" after a little sending if you like a longer knife with a larger grip handle. Note: Due to the thickness of the handle, the blade may be difficult to open since the nail groove is completely cover by wood. Please read answer #10 from our FAQ page here to solve this issue.
Opinel No8 is the most versatile size in the ever growing line of Opinel folding knives. This knife is small enough to be used as a pocket knife and it's 3 1/4' blade prevent it to be considered a weapon in most states (check with your state).

Your Stainless steel knife will not rust but it should not be kept in damp environments for too long as this will affect the wood handle.Place a little food grade mineral oil on all metal parts regularly.
